This group of calculator users has grown immensely since its inception as
Graph-TI, moderated by Ohio State University. As a result, the flavor of the
group has changed considerably. It used to be that if you wanted to download
calculator programs, you had a choice of three places to go. Now there are at
least 60 sites, many of them with the same programs. It's hard to choose!
This file, TI Net Sites 3.1, is an evaluative listing of Internet sites
which have TI calculator files, computer software, and/or information available
for download. Despite the frequency with which people ask "Where can I get TI
stuff?", this is NOT a generalized FAQ. (For a good one, get Shawn Jordan's
UnFAQ.)
Sites are divided into four groups: World Wide Web, FTP, Gopher, and IRC. I
have included the common prefixes to these addresses for clarity.
The format for site entries is:

          site owner (e-mail address)
          site name (if it exists)
          site address, with ti directory
          80/81/82/85/92/Mac/PC stuff
          games/programs/info
          notes/comments

Fields filled with "***" are missing info. The mark is intentionally ugly
so that you will be compelled to write in and fix it. Starting with this
release, sites with incomplete information are listed at the bottom of their
respective headings. If your site is listed here, it is your responsibility to
ensure correct information. If your site is not listed here, you need to look
deep within yourself and ask "Why?"
If you distribute this file (which you by all means may), please just tell
me where it's going. I'm curious.

TI Net Sites 3.1 -- Added info and NukeWare plea. (12/13/95)
TI Net Sites 3.0 -- Changed file format to include more information. New
ASCII art! (12/6/95)
TI Net Sites 2.1 -- Some additions and minor changes. (10/21/95)
TI Net Sites 2.0 -- Added much information and some new sites. Changed
entry format to include more information. (10/9/95)
TI Net Sites 1.0 -- First release (9/26/95)

Please send me any address corrections or new sites not yet in this
listing. I also welcome spelling and grammar corrections. Call me a
perfectionist, but this is a public posting.
As of December 6, 1995, AOL changed 'users.aol.com' to 'members.aol.com'.
According to AOL, either one will get you to users' space. Some people tell me
otherwise -- if one doesn't work, try the other.
This ASCII artwork was inspired by a way cool sig by some guy named Tony.
If anybody can improve Texas, the calculator, or the "anti-aliasing" effect,
please give me an E. I'm still accepting new ASCII art, as improvements are
always welcome.
Someday I may resume my quest for universal Calc-TI suffrage and have you
all vote on your favorite sites. In the meantime, here's what I'm (not) paid to
do...

Thanks to all who have submitted information. Also, big-time credit goes to
Gene Hart (euhart@vt.edu), the guy who suggested this listing. Kudos to Magnus
Hagander for getting this and other important files sent automatically to those
who need them. Thanks to Emmanuel Cracker, whose excellent Web page I check
periodically to keep up-to-date. And you have to respect the dedication of the
people who maintain all these wonderful TI Net Sites -- if it weren't for them,
there'd be nothing to read right now! (No, wait, that can't be right.)
In case you missed it, NukeWare has decided to plagiarize TI Net Sites. If
you come across a file called "nwtifaq1.faq" or "The Official TI WWW Index,"
it'll look awfully familiar. Please let Chris Kline (NukeWare@aol.com and
EDraven127@aol.com) know how you feel about this.

For me, keeping this list current is a lot of work. For you, surfing the
Internet in search of calculator programs is messy enough already. Therefore, to
paraphrase the immortal Dan Eble (immortal around here, anyway :), _please_
don't make a new "TI Net Site" unless you can offer something unique.

     Peace and other fine things,
     Amitai
